Weldon Owen Publishing, having also operated under the name Weldon Owen International, is an American publisher based out of Richmond, California, USA and originally an imprint of the Swedish-owned Bonnier Publishing USA group. Founded in 1984, the publisher specializes in producing innovative, richly illustrated lifestyle books in the categories of food and drink, sports and fitness, popular science, craft and design, and popular culture for the global market, the latter including reference books on Star Trek and Star Wars.
Around December 2020, Bonnier Publishing USA became part of the newly established Insight Editions publishing group, operating out of San Rafaël, California, USA. In the process Weldon Owen became a sister company of Gallery Books, the American publisher of among others the Haynes Publishing "Owners' Workshop Manuals", including its two Star Trek-themed titles.
