Wendie Malick (born 13 December 1950; age 73) is an actress who voiced Cathiw in the Star Trek: Lower Decks fourth season episode "Empathological Fallacies".

Career[]

Malick is best known for her co-starring role as Judith Tupper in the HBO comedy series Dream On from 1990 to 1996, alongside Chris Demetral, who played her character's son, and Michael McKean in a recurring role, and as Nina Van Horn in the comedy series Just Shoot Me! from 1997 to 2003, alongside Brian Posehn and (in a recurring role) Rebecca Romijn.

She also played the recurring roles of Gayle Buchannon in Baywatch (1989-94), with Monte Markham, Jandi Swanson, James Sloyan, Tom Villard, and Glenn Morshower, and Ronee Lawrence in the final season of Frasier (2003-04), starring Kelsey Grammer. More recently, she co-starred in the TV Land sitcom Hot in Cleveland (2010-15), with Alan Dale. She had a recurring role in the sitcoms American Housewive (2016-21), starring Diedrich Bader, and Young Sheldon (2021-24, the heavy Star Trek referencing The Big Bang Theory spin-off sitcom series), with Ed Begley, Jr. and Wallace Shawn.
