Lieutenant Wheeler was a Human sciences division officer who served aboard the USS Enterprise under Captain Christopher Pike in 2259.
After returning from the surface of Hetemit IX without Captain Pike and Lt. Spock, Number One returned to the bridge, whereafter she requested that Wheeler maintain round-the-clock monitoring of the ion storm and to notify her the second it started to let up, so that they could retrieve the two trapped officers as soon as possible.
