Later, he was one of seven crewmen located in engineering when the Nyrians began taking over the ship; despite a valiant effort, as he was the last conscious crewman in engineering, he was stunned while defending the upper engineering level. He was one of the last forty to be transported off the ship to one of the Nyrian's ten prison compounds in an Earth-like habitat; there, along with the senior staff, he was present when Taleen gave her speech and when Jarlath appeared. He and a female engineer were walking across the compound when Lieutenants Paris and Torres were suddenly beamed back from the Argala habitat.
