Lieutenant junior grade Winger Bingston, Jr. was a male Human Starfleet sciences division officer who served aboard the USS Cerritos during the late 24th century.

Bingston identified himself as a "triple threat", i.e. he was a singer, actor, and dancer. (LD: "I, Excretus") In 2380, he performed his one-man show, "The United Federation of Characters", in front of the senior staff, including Captain Carol Freeman and her daughter, the newly-minted Lieutenant Beckett Mariner. (LD: "Moist Vessel")

Later that year, he was in the bar when Dr. T'Ana chastised Beckett Mariner for not taking her job seriously, then suggested that Mariner go work at Starbase 80 if she wanted to goof around. T'Ana's comment evoked an audible gasp from the bar crowd, and caused this officer to exclaim "Damn, Starbase 80?!?" (LD: "Terminal Provocations")

In 2381, Ensign Castro invited Ensign Brad Boimler to a Winger Bingston show. Boimler replied, "Now, that guy can deliver a speech. Did you ever see his one-man show where he played all of Jupiter's moons?" (LD: "The Spy Humongous")

During Shari yn Yem's training drills, Bingston ran Escape the Void, at one point having an active simulation score of 57%. (LD: "I, Excretus")

Bingston taught an acting class on the Cerritos. (LD: "Crisis Point 2: Paradoxus")

Background information[]

Bingston was voiced by Eugene Cordero. [1]

His character was not specifically identified as Bingston in "Terminal Provocations", but Cordero used the same inflections he used for Bingston for the unseen voice-over.

Given the patronymic nature of Bingston's name, one of his parents would likely be named Winger Bingston, Sr.
