Xahea was an inhabited class M planet, the homeworld of the space-faring Xaheans. It was remarkable for its natural dilithium supply, and described as beautiful. (ST: "Runaway"; DIS: "Such Sweet Sorrow")

Location

This planet was located at galactic coordinates 003-1040808.1230 003-111309.3, which corresponded to Grid 07, Quad 09, Block 3, Sector 1. In the Starfleet database, the planet was assigned catalogue number 015289430. (DIS: "Such Sweet Sorrow")

Discovery at Xahea — The USS *Discovery* at Xahea

Government included the Xahean Council and a king or queen.

According to the Xahean citizen Me Hani Ika Hali Ka Po, there was a natural balance between the Xaheans and their planet, as they were born at the same time, making Xahea Po's twin sister.

Dilithium was mined in the caves on Xahea.

Around the 2250s there was an upheaval on the planet linked to the development of a dilithium incubator capable of recrystallizing dilithium, as well as due to the planet gaining warp capability. During this time, the king died and his sister, Me Hani Ika Hali Ka Po, was expected to be crowned as queen. She briefly ran away from the planet, causing the Xahean Council to send out a diplomatic hail (which Starfleet received), but she was convinced to take up her responsibilities after an encounter on the USS Discovery. (ST: "Runaway")

In 2257, the fifth of seven red bursts appeared over the planet. This drew Discovery and the USS Enterprise to the planet to investigate. (DIS: "Such Sweet Sorrow")
