Xanthii was a astronomical object in the same region as Sol/Jupiter. Its companion was Thelonii.
In 2285, Xanthii's position was displayed on a star chart on the bridge of the USS Enterprise. (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan)
This astronomical object was only mentioned in writing.
The image was taken from page T0:02:07:02 of the Star Fleet Technical Manual by Franz Joseph. The map claimed to depict principal star systems in the Federation. Based on the scale for the chart, Xanthii was located two parsecs from Sol. Thelonii and Xanthii were stars in a trinary star system. The name of a third star, Alfr, was not seen in the movie.
