Yellow was one of the three primary colors.

The White Rabbit, a character from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, wore a yellow waistcoat. (TOS: "Shore Leave")

In 2269, the Kzinti Telepath described his unpleasant unsuccessful attempt to read Spock's mind by saying, "He makes me taste yellow root munched between flat teeth." (TAS: "The Slaver Weapon")

In a deleted scene from TOS: "By Any Other Name", Montgomery Scott's comment "It's green" follows an earlier observation by Tomar that a drink Scott previously offered to him was yellow. (Star Trek: Lost Scenes)
