Yoruba mask

A Yoruba mask

Old Jake Sisko at home in The Visitor

Jake keeps the mask at his home in New Orleans

A Yoruba mask was an ancient form of cultural African art from the Yoruba people of Earth.

Benjamin Sisko owned a 2,000-year-old Yoruba mask which he brought to Deep Space 9 in 2371 when he returned from Starfleet with the USS Defiant. Jake Sisko said that when his father finally brought the mask and other items in Sisko's African art collection out of storage on Earth to DS9, it meant that the station was now officially their "home." (DS9: "The Search, Part I")

He took the mask with him when he was promoted to adjutant for Vice Admiral William Ross at Starbase 375. (DS9: "Favor the Bold")

In an alternate timeline after his father's death, Jake Sisko kept the mask in his home in New Orleans. (DS9: "The Visitor")
