Yvette McKoy (born 22 August 1965; age 55) is a German-Canadian stuntwoman, stunt actress, and former professional athlete who served as stunt double for Lisa Berry in the Star Trek: Discovery third season episode "There Is A Tide...". She was not credited for her appearance.
Born Yvette Grabner, she – along with her twin sister, Yvonne – trained to be a world-class professional track and field athlete, and competed in the East German national team at world events in the 1980s. She met Canadian hurdler Mark McKoy in 1986, at a meeting in East Germany, and after the authorities intercepted a letter from McKoy, inviting her to England, she was banned from competing outside her home country. The couple was only able to get together after the German reunification, eventually marrying in 1990.
After retiring from pro sports, McKoy became a stuntwoman, occasional bit actress, and stand-in, residing in Toronto. She appeared on television series such as Soul Food, 1-800-Missing, Covert Affairs (with Gregory Itzin and stunts by Bart Badzioch, Christine Ebadi, and Dana Jones), and American Gods (developed by Bryan Fuller). She performed stunts in the 2019 superhero film Shazam!, which featured Jhaleil Swaby and the voice of Fred Tatasciore, and stunts by Nick Alachiotis, Alex Armbruster, Ieisha Auyeung, Mustafa Bulut, Tim Cody, Christine Ebadi, Cam Fergus, Steve Gagne, Justin Howell, Geoff Meech, Alain Moussi, Jennifer Murray, Moses Nyarko, Ana Shepherd, Al Vrkljan, and E. Nova Zatzman.
She and her husband were the subjects of the 2003 documentary Cold War Love: The Story of Mark & Yvette McKoy.
