Zayra Cabot worked as production associate on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager. She was Jeri Taylor's assistant. (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Companion)
Several characters and planets were named after her including Zayra IV in the episode TNG: "Realm of Fear", Alpha Zayra II in TNG: "Inheritance", and Zayra in DS9: "A Man Alone". Zayra Cabot (civilian) can be seen in a passenger list also in the episode "Inheritance", and Zayra Cabot (Starfleet) can also be seen on a crew manifest in the episode VOY: "Projections".
